Minimum Cost Water Yield Strategy for Multiple Sources Water Distribution System

چکیده
Minimizing water supply costs has always been the goal of companies. However, it is not an easy task to minimize and meet customers’ pressure needs in a system with multiple sources different unit discharge. In this paper, we develop search method that incorporates concepts local steepest descent. First, establish discharge each source as variable start searching neighborhood for feasible initial solution. The descent concept then used find most cost-effective solution neighborhood, before updated. We iterate described above until either constraint met or amount cost variation reaches acceptable level. A simple example explore optimal characteristics. This followed by analysis practical up six sources. Compared original operation model, optimized result can save 15.6%, 9.0%, 12.7% total during off-peak, normal, peak periods, respectively. use commonly hydraulic software EPANET build functional valve classes satisfy various constraints purpose simplifying codes automatically. uses low levels computational resources obtain reasonable short time.

What Cost Water System?
Fixed Sprinklers (Concealed or Pop-up) This type of system has not been used on golf courses because the makers have never been able to convince the golf clubs that these systems are practicable. Hence it is the specialized makers of golf course sprinkling equipment who are the first to develop concealed-fixed position sprinklers for golf courses. At this writing, "Billy" Bell is installing ele...
متن کاملThe Least Cost Design of Water Distribution Networks Using Water Quality Constraints
Water quality is a very important issue related to people health, but it is not usually considered in water distribution networks (WDNs) design. In this paper, new constraints such as free residual chlorine and the quality performance index are incorporated into the least cost design of water distribution networks. EPANET2 was applied for the hydraulic and quality analysis of water distributio...
متن کاملBIG BANG – BIG CRUNCH ALGORITHM FOR LEAST-COST DESIGN OF WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS
The Big Bang-Big Crunch (BB–BC) method is a relatively new meta-heuristic algorithm which inspired by one of the theories of the evolution of universe. In the BB–BC optimization algorithm, firstly random points are produced in the Big Bang phase then these points are shrunk to a single representative point via a center of mass or minimal cost approach in the Big Crunch phase. In this paper, the...
متن کاملModelling Water Quality for Water Distribution Systems
Maintaining water quality in distribution systems has become a prominent issue in the study of water networks. This thesis concentrates on disinfectant and particle counts as two important indicators of water quality. The models discussed in this work are based on data collected by the author. The experimental set-up and procedure are described and observations of particle counts, particle coun...
متن کاملA HYBRID CHARGED SYSTEM SEARCH - FIREFLY ALGORITHM FOR OPTIMIZATION OF WATER DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS
Water distribution networks are one of the important and costly infrastructures of cities and many meta-heuristic algorithms in standard or hybrid forms were used for optimizing water distribution networks. These algorithms require a large amount of computational cost. Therefore, the converging speed of algorithms toward the optimization goal is as important as the goal itself. In this paper, a...
